Archeological illustration is often used as a tool to ‘rebuild’ the missing elements of a found object, imagining the whole from a small broken part. Fragments Imagined creates a whole from the pottery sherds that were found at the Lankhills’ excavation site. The thicker lines depict the actual found sherd and the fine line is the reconstructed object, based on understanding generated from other complete examples.
